Extreme paintball is continually drawing in more and more participants. Paintball is quickly gathering recognition as an "everyman's sport" and is one of the most widely played sports being played today. The game offers quick play action and puts players into combat like situations, competing against other teams to win. Paintball allows for energetic outdoor fun, providing exercise for paintball players and the ability to build skills pertaining to teamwork and overall camaraderie.

Statistically, extreme paintball is one of the safest existing sports. Surprisingly, there are fewer injuries reported in paintball than either golf or bowling. These statistics are rather surprising given the over 10 million participants that play the game. As long as paintball players are using their safety gear, such as goggles or face masks, the amount of injuries are minimal. As with any other sport, paintball should be played responsibly and paintball safety should always be the number one priority. In order to play safely, the rules should always be followed. Remember to always wear safety gear and for the protection of others, never freeze your paintballs. While this is something that does happen, it should be pointed out that it is illegal during field and tournament play.
Playing extreme paintball can be a lot of fun and it provides the opportunity to participate in a fast paced competitive sport. It is also a sport that gives you the chance to work out combat-like scenarios in order to eliminate your enemy on the opposing team. While paintball is relatively safe, it is always important to wear your safety gear as a precautionary measure. The game is meant to be a great way to show your competitive spirit, while also showing your ability to be a team player by defending your spot on the paintball field.
